The Berlin-Brandenburg Youth Orchestra and the French Youth Orchestra are planning a common concert series as part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage and on the occasion of the 100th death aniversary of the French composer Claude Debussy (1862–1918). This project will be launched in Versailles, followed by common rehearsals in Berlin and concerts at the Nikolai Hall in Potsdam, at the Filharmonia in Szczecin/Poland, and at the Concert House of Berlin.

One program item will be the „Trois Nocturnes“ of Debussy. The third part, ‘Siren’, is staffed with women voices. This piece is one of the most beautiful and most ambitious for women choir. The part will sing the vocal consort of the Berliner Girls Choir.
