The Music School City West celebrates its 100th anniversary with a festive concert in the concert hall of the University of the Arts (UdK), Hardenbergstraße 33. The programme includes contributions by the Berlin Girls Choir conducted by Sabine Wüsthoff, the Charlottenburg Youth Orchestra conducted by Mariano Domingo and the Berlin Jazz Composers Orchestra JayJayBeCe conducted by Christof Griese.
The festive concert is open to the public. Admission is free.
The Musikschule City West is the successor to the Jugendmusikschule Charlottenburg, which was founded in 1923 at the state academy for church and school music, and is thus the oldest and, with more than 6,500 students, also the largest municipal music school in Berlin.
